Funeral Songs

Here's a fun but sick little game to play. Ever think about what songs you'd like to have played at your funeral or remembrance?  Having a life-threatening illness, I have gone there.  If thinking like that is too morbid for you, then you can play a different way and just try to come up with your favorite five songs.

Anyway here's my "funeral" list:

"Good Riddance" by Green Day
"The Grouch" also by Green Day
"Wildflowers" by Tom Petty
"Time After Time" by Cyndi Lauper
"Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" by Monty Python.

What's on your list?

Ede's -- you ROCK. Love this website and SO GLAD you decided to do it. As far as songs, you know me with my "changeable" moods and attitudes. I'm not sure what I would chose. I will ponder more. I can tell you, however, one song I know for SURE I would choose no matter what -- OK, 2 songs -- "Imagine" (John Lennon) and probably "I Won't Back Down" (Tom Petty) as I consider those "life anthems!" :0)

Much love, from your cuz -- another 40-something mother of one who provides endless amusement and head scratching moments.

Ok, this has really got me thinking...as you can tell. So far, if I had to choose "today" (leaving it open to change), I would pick as follows:

1) Imagine (John Lennon)
2) I Won't Back Down (Tom Petty)
3) Closer I am to Fine (Indigo Girls)
4) The Last Resort (The Eagles)
5) Always Look on the Bright Side of Life (yep, me too with the Monty Python!)
